We Moved!

From 1600 sq. ft. to 600 sq. ft.

We chose to move because it's a lot of house for two people and the town we were living in has grown extremely fast in seven years. Like thirty years of growth in seven years fast. It's in Statesville, NC, which is 45 minutes from Charlotte. It's just to many people and we wanted to be in the mountains. We have two sons, the oldest lives in South Carolina and our youngest son just moved to Missouri eight months ago and I've not adjusted well to having an empty nest or the fact that the boys aren't near by.

Anyway, our home below has three bedrooms, two bathrooms. Very spacious living room, nice sized bedrooms and a two-car garage. I had a 10x20 cottage that was to the left of the house with electricity, heating and air conditioning.

Our new home below has one bedroom, one bathroom and living room and kitchen are open. It's in the mountains of a small town in Sparta, NC which I like being in the mountains. It has been an adjustment for me, and I am still working on it because I am not able to just up and go to the store if I want to for one is because gas is ridiculous and two some stores are 45 minutes to an hour away.

We did have my cottage transported up here to the mountains. This is the guy taking it from the big house to load her up and bring her to the little house.
Now, that the cottage is at the little house, it's been an adjustment because there's no electricity yet. Being in a smaller town you have fewer businesses but the ones that are here have a lot of work to keep them busy so, one has to wait. So, God is taking me through a season of where I am in need of learning patience. I must say, I have been failing it a lot these past few weeks as I am so annoyed when businesses say, we aren't sure when we'll be able to get to it or yes, we'll be there in two weeks, and they don't show up or even communicate why they haven't shown up.

I have been working on a few pieces that are now available in my shop!

I hope you are having a great day!
